Saputo Inc. completes the partnership agreement between its subsidiary Culinar and Dare Foods

(Montréal, July 16, 2001) Saputo Inc. today announced the closing of the partnership agreement between its subsidiary Culinar and Dare Foods. This transaction follows the June 18, 2001 announcement pursuant to which Dare Foods acquired the cookies, fine breads and soups operations of the Company’s Grocery Products sector. In consideration therefor, Saputo obtains an interest of 21% in Dare Foods.
