Saputo announces the acquisition of the ConAgra Foods Whitehall, Pennsylvania, cheese facility

(Montréal, March 11, 2002) – Saputo Inc. announces that it acquired today the assets related to the ConAgra Foods Whitehall, Pennsylvania, cheese facility. The plant, which employs approximately 100 people, specializes in the manufacturing of mozzarella and provolone. About 30 million pounds of cheese are manufactured at this plant on an annual basis. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
